| Now needed | Everything! No help whatsover has ever entered this school. The school is in a pathetic situation. There are far too limited number of classrooms The classrooms are therefore overcrowded. Sometimes upto 90 pupils per room. Rooms have not enough windows. Sometimes no windows at all, only holes in the stonewalls which cater insufficiently air and light. Floors are pressed mud or a mosaic of holes. This type of floors contain jiggers. Insects who dig into your skin, lay eggs which results in infections. When thre is no furniture and children sit on the floors this is a big problem. Furniture is in sme classrooms totally lacking, in other rooms its old and broken or children sit 3 on a small bench meant for 2. |

Milalani is a new school in the Twiga project. The first steps to improve conditions in this school will be taken in January 2008.
This school lacks any help from a (foreign) sponsor.
The government pays only for the teachers salaries.
TEC will start support in the same way as it is doing in Vingujijni and in Chitsanze: material and immaterial.
